My Dimplex Arrived

The Dimplex arrived in two seperate boxes, shipping paid for Prime customers. My grandson put it together with ease and it looks darling in my bedroom. I am well pleased and recommend this fireplace.
The Right Choice

We are so glad that we chose a Dimplex product. We bought a Dimplex woodstove looking product a couple of years ago and found it to be very good at heating the room we put it in. Prior to that our first purchase of an electric fireplace was made at one of the "box" stores. It does an adequate job but the heat is weak. What a difference with a Dimplex! We were so pleased with our first Dimplex that we bought a second. Dimplex is definitely Number One in electric fireplaces! I would recommend their products to everyone.
Love It!

This is a very nice electric fireplace for the money! It added a lot to our living room! The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a setting on the remote for the thermostat.
Pleasantly Surprised

Sadly, my fireplace was shipped without a piece, the bracket to hold the glass panel in. The panel still fits snug, and until I get the piece from Customer Service, it seems to stay in place fine anyway. The flame effect is surprisingly, very good. I did not expect it to be as life-like as it turns out. The heater is very quiet, and actually warms both my living room and dining room, an area approximately 30 x 15, to a comfortable degree. I agree with the poster above that a separate setting for the thermostat and flame would have been great. Also, since it is RF, it doesn't work with my Harmony One remote, but the remote is small and only has an "on" and an "off" button. One strange thing, I looked on the Dimplex site, and can not find this model. Even if it was a closeout, shouldn't they still list the model?

Good looking - not great heat output

Reviewer: P. Santoni,
This is really well made and good looking. Looks great in my newly finished club basement. I was hoping that it would put out a bit more heat than it does. You have to literally stand right in front of it to feel any heat. I am hoping maybe I need to read the instructions and maybe I am missing something. There should be a fan that blows the heat out more effectively. I have a $40 space heater that throws more heat than this one.
