| Just bought this on sale from a Value Home Center for $299. Saw it on display and fell in love. Bought the oak finish (comes in 4 wood finishes). Simple remote control is a great feature, unit puts out nice quiet heat, and their simulated flame is the best I've seen to a real flame. Woodwork of mantel is excellent, setup is SO easy. Only thing that I would rather have would be if remote control had separate on/off controls for heater and flame; as is, the remote controls main power only so you have to get up and go shut off heater switch if you want to keep flame on by itself. Flame itself creates great ambience. Will have to teach the wife how to flip that switch for me :) |

| I'm very satisfied with this product. I have a fan forced heater that is rather loud. This Dimplex product in contrast is whisper quiet and nicely takes the edge off in a 20'X 17' room with a low (7 1/2')ceiling. The warm glow is real nice as is the flame effect which may be the most realistic out there. The construction is solid and design is sleek. The section around the firebox is actually faux marble, you can't see it in the picture. |

| This is a very nice fireplace. The expresso finish is very dark. The fire look is decent for an electric fireplace, but obviously not real. There are two heat settings for the fireplace to control how much heat is generated and the heat can be turned off for just the visual effect without any heat. The remote is convenient to turn on or off the fireplace, but it only turns on or off the fireplace. The heat output is controlled by switches on the fireplace unit. The fireplace is not on wheels, so it isn't very portable, but at 80lbs. can be moved if necessary. |

| I am very happy with this compact electric fireplace...the finish is a little darker than I thought it would be...I was trying to match an expresso finish entertainment center and it is definitely darker...it still looks good in the room. |
